Notes from the Classroom:

Welcome to 5th grade. We have had a blast the past 2 days with our new group and are glad that we can have their parents with us. Here is a little about us.

Mrs. H: This is my 5th year in 5th grade. I teach Social Studies for the grade level as well as Math and Language Arts for half of the grade level. I graduated from WHS in 2007 and from UNC in Greeley in 2011 and was hired on to teach 5th grade in Fall of 2011. My favorite part about this age is the fact that they are starting to figure out who they are. It may be a struggle for them, but they always persevere.

Mrs. Fullmer: This is my second year at Wiggins Elementary.  I teach  Science for the grade level as well as Language Arts and Math.  I moved to Colorado from Utah two years ago with my family.  I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in 1997 and received my Elementary Education Certification last year.  I have  taught preschool, elementary , Jr. High and High School Students throughout my educational career.  I love teaching 5th grade because  the students  are beginning  to not just learn facts, but to develop thinking skills and  create new ideas.

Another Note: We changed the Birthday Treats Policy. We will now hold monthly Birthday Parties. The months of August and July will be held together on Friday, August 28. We will start the celebration at 2:45. If you are bringing treats, please bring something that is healthy. Please contact us if you plan to bring something for your child. We can have up to  2 birthday cakes brought for the grade level.
